Microsoft has started selling the latest models of its Surface 3 and Surface 3 Pro tablets with Windows 10 pre-installed. Both tablets were initially launched with Windows 8.1.
The free upgrade to Windows 10 drastically increases chances that users find the latest OS on their devices, so they won’t have to upgrade manually.
Along with Windows 10 pre-installed, the company has extended discounts on Surface Pro 3 by $150. The price cut is the beginning of the long term discounts strategy. The lower price was scheduled to end on August 1, however, Microsoft extended it for a few more days.
Surface tablets are now listed on the company’s site with Windows 10, however those, who have already bought a Surface, have the opportunity to upgrade manually. Do not forget that Windows 10 rollout takes place in ‘waves’ and it may take a few weeks until all eligible devices show an upgrade notification.
