Sony has confirmed that starting from September 1, 2015, the price of the three month PlayStation Plus subscription will increase.
Starting September 1, the price of the three month membership will change from ₤11.99 to ₤14.99 in Europe. Additionally, the price of the one month subscription will also be increased in the UK. However, Sony has yet to reveal the new price for the monthly subscription.
Push Square has reached out to a SCEUK representative regarding the price hike. The representative issued the following statement:
We are dedicated to bringing PlayStation Plus members the best possible service with the most compelling content. From 1st September we will be increasing the price of monthly and three month PlayStation Plus subscriptions in line with market conditions. We will continue to invest in PlayStation Plus to ensure an unparalleled experience, featuring the best quality games and features."
So far, the change in pricing is limited to Europe. The subscription fees in North America and Asia will remain unaffected.
