Warner Bros. And Avalanche Studios, best known for their open world mayhem simulators Just Cause and Just Cause 2, released a meaty gameplay trailer for the upcoming Mad Max game.
Coming this autumn, Mad Max will allow players to step into the boots of the legendary road warrior as he fight for survival in a post-apocaliptic world.
The gameplay trailer shows a glimpse of what we can expect from the title: a vast post-apocaliptic world, a melee combat system system inspired by Rocksteady's Batman series, a fast and furious car combat system, and an extensive crafting system. Player will not only be able to upgrade Max's abilities and craft new gear for him, but will also be able to fully customize his car. After having everything stolen from him and being left for dead, Max must first build a new car to stand a chance at surviving in the wasteland. Called the Magnum Opus, Max's car can be upgraded and customized in various ways to create a truly unique four-wheeled death machine. Of course, this means that players will have to scour the wastelands for valuable resources to upgrade their gear and car.
During the game, players will encounter other survivors that are in need of help. Helping them will result in their strongholds growing, which in turn, will provide Max with additional aid on his journey. This aid will prove invaluable in order to survive not only the hoards of roving bandits, but also the deadly weather conditions of the wastelands in the form of sandstorms.
Max Mad is set to release on September 1, 2015 in the United States and September 4, 2015 in Europe. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out the gameplay trailer below.
