Xbox One 1TB Console

Microsoft introduces new 1TB Xbox One, cuts 500GB Xbox One price to $349

Today, Microsoft officially unveiled a new version of Xbox One, outfitted with a 1TB hard drive and a redesigned wireless controller with a 3.5mm stereo jack.

The new console will ship in the US on the 16th of June for $399, and, for a limited time only, will come bundled with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The new Xbox One underwent a slight visual change, represented by the matte finish. Of course, the biggest draw is the console's increased storage capacity to 1TB and the new controller.

The redesigned Xbox One wireless controller includes a 3.5mm stereo jack, which allows for a headset to be directly plugged into the controller. Adjusting the headset volume, mic monitoring, and voice and game audio balancing will be possible via the Settings menu on the console. Additionally, Microsoft fine-tuned the bumpers on the new controller and enabled wireless firmware updates, which eliminates the need to connect the controller via USB cable to receive updates. The redesigned controller will also be sold separately in two color variations: black for $59.99, and a silver and black camouflage design for $64.99.

Microsoft took this opportunity to also announce that starting today, the price on all standard 500GB Xbox One consoles has been cut permanently to $399 in the US and select regions. What's more, starting this Fall, gamers will be able to purchase the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to

enjoy the freedom and convenience of the wireless controller on Windows 10 PCs, laptops, and tablets.”

The adapter will be sold for $24.99 or bundled with the controller for $79.99.
