Tokyo, September 1, 2015 - Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) today announced that the PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) Wi-Fi model (PCH-2000 series) will become newly available in “Aqua Blue,” “Neon Orange” and “Glacier White” colors in Japan, on September 17 at a recommended retail price (RRP) of 18,980 + tax JPY.
PS Vita in “Aqua Blue” will also be available in North America starting in November at a RRP of $199 USD*1.
In addition to the popular “Black” color, PS Vita will be available in a fresh “Aqua Blue” color, a vibrant “Neon Orange,” and also “Glacier White,” a color that is inherited from the PlayStation®4 system. The new color variations apply the same color on both the front and rear of the system, and are aimed to target a broad range of users, from children to adults. Users can select their favorite PS Vita to enjoy exciting entertainment experiences only possible on PlayStation®.
Furthermore, in addition to highly acclaimed titles, such as Minecraft: PlayStation®Vita Edition (Mojang AB) and Taiko no Tatsujin V Version (BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc.), the PS Vita system’s game portfolio in Japan will continue to expand with the release of anticipated titles such as Sengoku Muso 4 Empires (KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD.), BIOHAZARD REVELATIONS 2 (CAPCOM CO., LTD.),GOD EATER RESURRECTION (BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc.), AirShip Q (Cygames, Inc.) and DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS (SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.).
SCE will continue to further expand the PS Vita platform through the launch of new color variations and an exciting software title lineup.
